The Temple of the Sacred Fire was founded in June 1994. We are an Earth
Centered Religious Temple that encompasses all forms of Nature and Divinity.

We will have classes, lectures, and workshops on herbs, healing, crystals,
gemstones, nature hikes, etc. Our Community Services are below in detail.

The Founder and Minister has numerous years in the Health Care and Community
Services fields since 1984. He has also extensive work as a
Social Worker, Guardian Ad Litem, Family Court Advocate, Domestic
Violence and Rape Counselor/Educator, HIV/AIDS Counselor/Educator and Long
Term Care/Hospice Care Case Coordinator.

Temple of Dendera Covenstead

The Temple of Dendera Covenstead is sponsored and chartered through the Temple of the Sacred Fire. The Covenstead teaches individuals in the Priest/esshood. The Dendrite Tradition (started in 1950, encompasses teachings from Scottish Caledonii/Hektite Path, Cherokee Medicine, and Egyptian Mysteries, plus other eclectic teachings. Oasis Family Services

Oasis Family Services, formerly The Haven, founded in July 1994, was formed
to enrich the community through counseling, and educational means
that will provide physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual growth and well being.

Counseling and Education

Counseling is done on an individual, family, or group basis.
Confidentiality is strictly adhered to. Referrals also given to
licensed/certified therapists.

Education is the best means of personal empowerment. It turns myths into

Elder Care Management and Long Term Care Management

Elder Care Assessment and Plan Development

The best way to handle any situation is to have a good plan of action.
The assessment is done to obtain vital information that the elder client
needs to have the best quality of life he/she can have. This assessment
deals with pertinent information concerning property care, personal care,
paperwork for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO/PPO, Living Wills, Power of
Attorney, Estate Planning, Health Care Proxy, etc.

Care Management and Implementation

After the assessment is completed, our experienced and trained staff starts
developing the necessary paperwork that will alleviate confusion
and stress in the future.
We will discuss this care plan
with family members, caregivers,
attorneys, financial consultants, clergy that are assisting the elder individual,
while focusing the primary concerns on the elder's needs.

We strictly adhere to Federal, State, and Local Confidentiality Laws,
and know how important a person's need for safety and security are.
Our staff deals with professional Elder Care Attorneys, Financial
Consultants (one will be on staff in the near future), Elder Care Guardians
(one for New York State is on staff NOW), etc. that have years of experience and expertise that is available to the elder individual.

Long Term Care Management

We also deal with long-term care, and have resources to network with other
organizations, agencies that can support the elder individual, or other
client who is returning from a hospital or nursing home stay, and needs
hospice care, home care, etc.
Our staff will be able to work with others to make the transition
pleasant and stress free.

Reiki Sanctuary
Tera Mai(TM) Reiki

Reiki, (Ray-Key), is a hands-on healing modality that was rediscovered
by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1800s. Reiki can be learned by anyone (children
also), and you do not need prior hands-on healing/healing experience
to learn this modality. Reiki promotes health, wellness, and well-being.
Reiki energy helps balance the Chakras, and bring wholeness to
all levels of a persons being (physical, etheric, emotional,
mental/causal, and spiritual). Reiki does not conflict with other
healing modalities, but help expedite the healing process. Reiki is
channeled by a certified Reiki Practitioner who has been attuned by a Reiki Master/Teacher. Reiki can be used to relieve stress, anxiety, dis-
ease, etc., as well as keep a persons well-being intact.

There are three degrees to Reiki. They are as follows:

Reiki I- Learn the history of Reiki, the Traditional Hand Positions,
and how to conduct Reiki Healing Sessions on yourself, and others.

Certification is given upon completion of workshop.

Reiki II- Review of Reiki I. Learn the Traditional and Non-Traditional
Reiki Symbols for Distant and Absentee Healing.

Certification is given upon completion of workshop.

Reiki III- Mastership

Review of Reiki I and II. Learn how to pass attunements, and Traditional
and Non-Traditional Mastership Symbols.

Certification is given upon the Reiki Mastership Student teaching a Reiki I
workshop.

Reiki Intensive Workshop

A Two Full Day Workshop

Learn the Reiki Degrees (Reiki I, II, and III-Mastership) in two (2) days.
Please Note: This weekend is very fast paced. Notes will be
given. Certification in Reiki I and Reiki II will be given after completion
of these sections. Reiki III-Mastership Certification
will be given after completion of teaching Reiki I workshop (which I will
observe).

Reiki Advanced Master/Teacher Workshop (RAM/TW)

This workshop is for Reiki Master/Teachers. Please bring a copy of your
Reiki Master/Teacher Certification with you. If you do not have a
certificate, please bring a list of students you have taught Reiki
Workshops to.

In this workshop, you will learn the hands positions on how to conduct healing
sessions on certain ailments/dis-eases (ADD/ADHD, Coma,
HIV/AIDS, Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, MPD, PTSD, etc.)

American Sign Language

Do you know of someone who is deaf or hard of hearing? Do you need to
know ASL??? We are training others to learn basic ASL/Sign English.
Basic ASL/Sign English classes will be ongoing. Email us for more
